Competitions
I am hoping to organise some electric glider comps at Sledbrook, probably on Sundays. Ideally, all competitors will have similar models of the Easyglider type, otherwise we can devise a handicap system. I don't want to get too involved in rules and restrictions at this stage, the idea is to get people to fly at Sledbrook and have fun. Dates to be posted on website, but will not clash with power comps.
Also, I am going to take the electric winch to Sledbrook on days when the weather is favourable , so anybody with a suitable model or who wants to find out about winch towing can contact me and meet me there.
Aerotowing
I would like to encourage members to have a go at aerotowing (at the Whams, Sledbrook is too rough for take-offs). I have a range of glider tugs, and would like to meet with anyone who has a suitable glider-anything with a simple R/C tow release on the nose. Considering the somewhat restricted space, smaller gliders (Easyglder/Cularis) would be sensible.
I would suggest aerotowing at quieter times of the week so as not to inconvenience regular power flyers, again I am available most times if people would like to contact me.
